I started doing this last summer during wedding season and it has quickly turned into my favorite way to wrap gifts. Most often I use brown butchers paper, twine, and fake flowers that my decor has grown out of but for these two gifts I had some pretty ribbon stock piled from Christmas sales that I utilized.
Generally, I use some kind of scrap paper underneath the ribbon as I use hot glue to secure the flowers to the bow. This way, if I get any drips they hopefully fall on the scrap paper. :)
